looks like it’s too late for me, but the rest of you had better stop reading, or you could end up a lesbian or a witch.

Buffy vs Edward

We all know who would win. Now, with the help of fantastic editing we can see it happen. This video makes me laugh every time I watch it.

My favourite part is when Buffy wakes up and just says “get out.”

And that editing was absolutely amazing, was it not?

My Spare Time In A Nutshell

Hi hi hi. I know, I haven’t written anything in a while, but I haven’t had much to say really. Here are some of the things that have happened since I last blogged.

1) I’ve fallen in love with the webcomics xkcd and A Softer World. They are amazing.

2)I started reading the buffy comics. Amazingness. Almost as good as the show but we don’t get to see Alyson Hannigan or hear her adorable voice. We do get the illustrated version though, and the is no limit on special effects.

3) This Just Out With Liz Feldman had it’s season finale which features several fun guestbians. My favourite part? “Shane” introducing her friend Kate to Liz, who still doesn’t get it. Tegan and Sara also played a competitive game of “Who’s Gayer?”. Speaking of Tegan and Sara, I really want Tegan’s Macbeth shoes.

4) I have started at the beginning and am now on season two of a hilarious show called How I Met Your Mother. I love it. I always laugh when I watch it and they make fun of Canadians a lot (because Robin -a character- is Canadian). I love it when they make fun of us. I feel special. Is that weird?

5) There is one final episode left of The L Word. Although I love that show, this last season has really only made me feel sad and uncomfortable. Sunday night we finally get to find out who killed Jenny!

The L Word - Season 6

6) I started watching Joss Whedon’s new series Dollhouse. I really like it so far, but it is missing that witty aspect that I loved about Buffy. I like it though. It is really intense right away. It also stars Eliza Dushku (Buffy’s Faith, the other slayer) as the main character -  the “active”, Echo,  that repeatedly has her memory wiped. It’s difficult to explain, watch the show.

7) I started a DeviantART account, find it here. Also, I’m Twittering now occaisonally, and that’s here.

8 )

I started watching (and really really really like) a series from the UK called Skins. Blame capsizedlullaby for this, as she introduced me to it. Among other characters, it features Emily and Naomi, two girls who, as of yet, are almost a couple. It’s complicated, but they’re both really cute.

Don’t worry. In the actual show “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry is not playing in the background, thank goodness. The show in general has a really good soundtrack.

So, what have you been up to?

Best.Spinoff.Ever.

Too bad it’s fictional.

I was on youtube and I had just fininshed watching the series finale of Buffy, which completely blew my mind,  and I was looking for clips of Willow (of course). I came across an alternate title sequence someone had made for a spinoff starring Willow as the lead character. That’s what I would have wanted to happen and I even may have started to call the show Willow instead of calling it Buffy like everyone else when bringing it up in conversation. So without further ado, Willow opening credits:

The only thing these credits are lacking? Some Tara Maclay. I think that if they made a spinoff they would have to find some way of making Tara come back. They did it to Buffy, right? Tara was the best thing that ever happened to Willow in my books, and she is much much better than Kennedy any day. I suppose I shouldn’t get upset though, it’s not like it’s a real series or anything.

Now that I’ve finished the television series I’ve moved on to the graphic novels, an action which has made me lose so much respect for myself and my newfound nerdiness. I can’t resist though, it’s Buffy, so I just have to continue.

Once More With Feeling

Ok so I knew that there was a musical Buffy episode. I had just hoped that it was within the seasons that I owned on DVD. It isn’t however so I don’t get to see it until I buy more seasons. I found a clip of Tara singing to Willow though. They just get cuter and cuter, don’t they?

And a shout-out to Ariel who is helping me in my quest for the songs.  =)

Crush of the Day

For Christmas I received three entire seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I absolutely love that show but I never got to watch it when it was on. So this is the first time I get to see the episodes, but I know what is going to happen. I have heard all about Willow and Tara and their stories through AfterEllen and other sites like that. I am proud to say that now I get it. I get what all the fuss about Willow and Tara is about. So without further ado, crush of the moment: Alyson Hannigan as Willow Rosenberg.

Willow is adorable. She is a geek and awkward in social settings sometimes. She is also a very powerful Wicca and in season 4 falls in love with a wonderful fellow Wicca named Tara Maclay.

Willow then is faced with the perils of coming out as well as her regular demon-fighting schedule. She handles it very well and when her former love-of-her-life boyfriend Oz comes back to profess his love (and that he is cured from being a werewolf) she tells him that she is in love with someone else. Willow and Tara are now my favourite  TV/movie couple ever (I was going to say fictional but Annie and Liza from Annie On My Mind kind of take the cake on that one), even more than Alice and Dana. Unfortunately I know that the romance ends badly (a lesbian couple on primetime television ending badly, what a surprise!) and it’s too good to last to the end of the series, but I just adore the two of them. Especially Willow. Besides, she’s also rather gorgeous, and that helps too.

Also, they have a cat named Kittyfantastico, and what’s better than that?

i don’t need a life that’s normal, that’s way too far away. but something next to normal might be ok.

what’s going on
