Lesbian/Bisexual Visibility PSA

In this week’s Best.Lesbian.Week.Ever. on AfterEllen.com, My favourite bloggers made two PSA’s directed at the striking television writers about lesbian visibility on television. I am going to post them here so that they can get as many views as possible. (aka, so that the one person who reads this can see them). The first one is serious and the second one is more comical. Please watch them both. I really hope they get those writers thinking. It would be nice to see some lesbians characters on television that aren’t crazy or looking for sperm donors or dating their look-alikes.

So I thought that that was pretty important, and cool because I actually know who these people are and watch their vlogs. So writers get writing some good lesbian/bisexual storylines. Please!

Also, Jill Bennett is not going to be on We’re Getting Nowhere for a while because she is filming something.  Which kind of sucks because we don’t get to watch her on We’re Getting Nowhere every week but also doesnt because it means she will be in something else that we can go see. More Jill. Naked.

I have now become quite the fan of Jill from We’re Getting Nowhere (in that short time) and I wanted to rent In Her Line of Fire, a movie that she was in in 2006. I walked pretty far to a Rogers Video in the freezing cold and they didn’t even have it. so now I really want to see the movie and I asked for it for Christmas.  I thought I nwould put that up here just because…really I am just bored right now, so I thought I’d post the trailer. I want Jill to be in a movie that I’ll see in a video store!!!! So really, the goal is more Jill. Naked. – you’ve got to watch we’re getting nowhere to get that. So anyway, here’s the trailer; enjoy!

Also, Idina Menzel’s newest movie Enchanted is in theatres now and I would highly recommend it. She is in the trailer for a couple seconds so I’ll post that too.

30 Rock

Ok, so I have to say that I adore Tina Fey. Everyone does, it’s the law. She is smart and funny and I personally think that she should host the Academy Awards. I don’t like to watch a lot of television (movies don’t count in that) so I limit myself to the amount of shows that I watch. This is the one and only reason I haven’t see 30 Rock (Tina Fey’s show) yet. But this week, due to the terribly disappointing episode of House last week and my mother’s new obsession with taping all shows after 9:00 so that we can watch them at a more reasonable hour and never end up watching them at all, I have dropped House and am going to begin watching 30 Rock, which airs Thursdays (tonight!!!) at 8:30.

30 Rock won an Emmy this year and their offical site is here. If you go on the website there’s a cool Ask Tina video section and she’s got some really funny comments. Here’s a clip from the show:

I cannnot wait to see it tonight and I will get back to you on what I think.

Holy Jill Bennett

So as an avid reader of the AfterEllen blogs, I unfortunately have only been watching two of the video blogs (She Made Me Watch This and Who Thought THAT Was A Good Idea?) but reading everything else. But NOW  I have begun to watch We’re Getting Nowhere and I think that it is so incredibly funny and enjoyable even though I don’t watch the shows that they blog about. So I thought I’d share that with you, and the fact that Jill Bennett is on it just makes my life complete. I found a YouTube video with clips.
